From Chairman Miharu Koike
Hello everyone.
The Chino Aikido Club was founded in 2001 by four friends who wanted to try Aikido. Initially, we were taught Aikido by an Australian.
One of the reasons I started the group was that Aikido is practiced one-on-one with another person, so I thought it would be beneficial for people who have difficulty communicating and for children.
Looking back at that time, I started at age 50 and couldn't even roll around on the tatami mat at first, but I think the charm of Aikido and the fact that I was a disciple of the wonderful world-renowned instructor, Endo Seishiro, were the reasons I was able to continue.
And above all, the friends are great. We love practicing and have a deep love for Aikido, and we practice together steadily and in harmony. Anyone can start at any time. Please come and observe.
So please give it a try. It's fun! We look forward to seeing you.
